Lothian Community Transport Services (LCTS) is a charitable company limited by guarantee and registered in Scotland. LCTS provides a range of transport services in Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian.

ACCESSIBLE MINIBUS HIRE

Wheelchair accessible minibuses available for hire to community groups from bases in Edinburgh and Midlothian. Minibuses can be hired on a with-driver or self-drive basis.

SAFETY & OPERATIONAL TRAINING

LCTS provides quality packages on an extensive range of topics, including:

  • Passenger safety
  • Minibus fire and evacuation procedures
  • The legislative framework for minibus operation
  • Minibus management
  • The law for minibus drivers
  • Driver licensing legislation
  • Wheelchair accessible taxi operation

    Training for trainers on courses on the above subjects are also available.

    DRIVER ASSESSMENT & TRAINING

    LCTS is registered with the Community Transport Association as a MiDAS Training Agent, running courses for minibus Driver Assessor / Trainers

    MiDAS comprises on-road and classroom based training for minibus drivers. Sessions cover driving skills, manoeuvering, defensive and advanced driving techniques.

    LCTS staff accredited to ADI, IAM, RoSPA and PCV standards.

    LCTS provides advice and consultancy on a wide range of services, including:
