Transform Scotland welcomes signing of final contracts for Edinburgh trams

Paul Tetlaw, Chair of sustainable transport campaign group Transform Scotland, said:

"We welcome the signing of the final contracts for Edinburgh's tram project and look forward to seeing the trams running in 2011.

"Let there be no doubt, this is absolutely the right way ahead for transport in Edinburgh and Scotland. We face many challenges in the years ahead, climate change and energy security being just two of them, on both counts the trams tick all the right boxes."
